I agree with many of the points raised, and Australia is in a mess due to successive governments making poor decisions - particularly when it comes to housing, planning and infrastructure. Governments, addicted to spending, have maintained high immigration as a way of disguising the collapse of the manufacturing sector. A competent government would have addressed the underlying economic woes, while a barely competent one might have implemented some planning prior to importing millions of low-skilled migrants. Unfortunately, successive federal governments have simply thrown open the doors and closed their eyes.
