Something tells me that when parents are bugged incessantly for their ID so their kids can watch reruns of brainrot, the lightbulb will flip. Why do 'they' need my ID just so my kid can watch an episode of Bluey when a week ago they didn't? I can only hope that's the case, but I'm not holding my breath.

What we learned from small pockets of resistance against the covid response is that if enough of us immediately say ‘no’ to the bullies and tyrants, then this sort of attempted control can be stopped. 30% is more than is needed in the first instance.

I wonder about reversing ID policy in the future if the unpopular Labour Party in the UK fails at the next election. The Heritage Party in the UK seems to oppose digital ID. But if Reform wins the next election, it is not clear how hard a line they will take against digital ID if it has already been brought in by the present government.
