It’s apparent to me that major parties are fighting it out in the ‘safe middle’ where the majority of swingers wade. People have gone off politics – lies and half truths add to the demise of constituents’ interests and they fear extreme left and extreme right governments.
Let’s look at political parties as the Y axis and the people as the X axis and examine the movement at the interception point - do the research why this is so.

Excellent points and I heard it said multiple times. We have no real choice this election.
The Liberal party made noises about reducing the size of the government but quickly backtracked.
The Liberal party introduced the ESafety Office and Peter Dutton steadfastly maintains the ESafety Officer is an ourstanding Public Servant.
You are correct in that we swap one shade on Government control for another.
